The recently announced and rare public appearance of The Master Teacher of A Course in Miracles in San Jose, CA, at World Wellness Weekend, November 3-5, 2006, challenges us all to consider what constitutes wellness. Is it merely a condition that is the opposite of sickness or are we willing to entertain a larger perspective?
The seemingly impossible dilemma inherent to the human condition is that it appears always to perceive something outside itself. Whether that “something” is a deadly strain of virus, the cancer I am fighting, the spinach I am eating, the car I am driving, the randomness of terrorism, or the obnoxiousness of my next door neighbor—there is always something “out there” that can “get” me a course in miracles. The predicament is the defining characteristic of all human behavior. Trying to find a reference point within the chaos of apparently opposing forces — social, physical, emotional, intellectual, and sexual — I react blindly to whatever I think I perceive. I stand as if within a mirrored ball, bouncing off my own reflection, always in a reaction, projecting onto my body, my family, my community, and my world my own fearful defense against my own perceptions. The human race, the Master Teacher reminds us, is “suffering from the disease of projected self-identity.”
Within the dilemma that is the human condition, we have sought for worldly ‘solutions,’ both political and personal, that have led to either more problems or merely a change in the form of the problem. How quickly everything changes, however, when I take total responsibility for the reality I am experiencing acim. I am the perceiver of everything I see. I define it, interpret it, and react to it. If there is a problem, it must be mine. Now it is here where the Course is unique and clearly comes from outside the framework of reality as it is known to the human mind. The Course does not seek to change the form of the problem, but to change the mind that thought the problem real. True healing is, as the Course in Miracles asserts, “corrected perception.” It is inclusive of the emotional, spiritual and physical. It is the recognition that no healing was ever necessary! Mankind’s dilemma of being a victim to its own perceived objective condition is solved miraculously in an instantaneous recognition of the Singular nature of reality.
The metamorphosis of mankind to enlightened consciousness is not a process, but an experience within the individual. It occurs in a quantum leap of awareness. As a transmission of the frequency of resurrected mind demonstrated through A Course In Miracles, the Master Teacher collapses time in extraordinary condensed encounters that are designed help you remember the impossibility of sickness. “Could you but realize for a single instant the power of healing that the reflection of God, shining in you, can bring to all the world, you could not wait to make the mirror of your mind clean to receive the image of the holiness that heals the world.” (A Course in Miracles, Chapter 14- IV)
Join the Master Teacher and A Course In Miracles International in San Jose for Wellness Weekend this November. It promises to be “an intense encounter with Reality.” But be careful! What does this recognition cost? It costs the whole world you see!
In the third article in the series on the “miracle” and the “mind,” we are going to bring kindness and unkindness into the discussion about specialness. In A Course in Miracles (ACIM), kindness is associated with humility and learning and unkindness is with arrogance and specialness. The miracle-minded obviously choose humility, learning and kindness which means they will eventually learn to forgive all specialness which is what maintains the separation from God. Belief in separation applies to everyone who is the One Son perceiving Himself as separate and different fragments. All unkindness stems from the anxiety in the mind when we repress our fear and guilt instead of forgiving our specialness desires. We blame and project it onto others who are really a part of us in reality.
There are two books by Kenneth Wapnick on, “The Healing Power of Kindness.” Volume 1 is on, “Releasing Judgment” and Volume 2 on, “Forgiving Our Limitations.” In my opinion, these should be required reading and continuing study for anyone who is a serious Course student. The following passage says it all:
Did you know that Miracle Noodle can help you to easily lose weight as well as provide a large part of dietary fiber? It is finally widely known in the US, especially when it was featured in Extra and ABC news. It has been used in Asia for the past 2000 years it is known as Konyaku in Japan, Gonyak in Korea and Ju Ruo in Chinese and colloquially known as konjak, konjaku, devil’s tongue, voodoo lily, snake palm, or elephant yam. You may have heard it as Shirataki Noodle which means white waterfall because of the appearance of the noodles when you take them out of the bag. It is a Pasta and Noodle substitute but with Zero Calories, Zero Carbohydrates, gluten free, Wheat free and 5 times the cholesterol cutting power of Oatmeal and is Vegan too! This is Miracle Noodle.
Miracle Noodle is made from the Konjac-Mannan tuber (root). The root is thinly sliced then dried. The dried chips are converted to powder making Konjac flour which can be used for thickening sauces and making Vegan Gelatin The flour is mixed with other ingredients to make into pasta and noodle. You can substitute Miracle Noodle for any pasta and noodle in you favorite dishes and convert it on to a No carb or very low carb dish. Imagine eating spaghetti in tomato sauce with ZERO carbs. Miracle Noodle makes it an easy for many dishes because it comes in many forms. Miracle Noodles come in spaghetti, rigatoni, vermicelli (angel hair), pearls (like tapioca) Orzo, Penne Mini Ring, and Black Shirataki for your noodle soup dishes and of course Flour.
Miracle noodle is perfect for dieters because when it gets into your stomach it swells up (Konjac can absorb 200 times it’s weight in water) making you feel full longer. It is made of soluble fiber which causes your blood glucose to drop slowly keeping you full longer. It is perfect for Diabetics because it is Carb free and since it stays in your stomach longer it delays glucose absorption and lowers the Glycemic Index. It is great for People with High Cholesterol because it absorbs cholesterol better than Oatmeal. It can prevent Cancer because it creates good bacteria in your intestinal flora associated with a reduction in pro-cancerous nitrosamines (proteins).
If you are ready to take charge of your weight loss for once and for all, substitute Miracle Noodle for all your pasta and noodle dishes and you will be well on your way to your weight loss goal. Consuming Miracle Noodles in combination with the Fat loss 4 idiots program you will switch your metabolism into Fat Loss overdrive. Using these two mostly unknown tools I have been able to shed off almost 70 Lbs in the past 10 months. Try the Miracle Noodle/FL4I program, you will be surprised.
