Beauty FROM the Ashes
This month has been an incredible month for me. A month filled with many life lessons. A season revealing many mistakes I’ve made along the way as well as warnings I ignored. As well as very painful experiences. God wants me to tell you that no matter what storm you are going through, There will be Beauty from the Pain.
Who do you surround yourself with? This is a very important question for a variety of reasons, and one that we should never take lightly. Take a minute to think about the people you surround yourself with in your life. If you were in a crisis, do you have people who would be willing to fight alongside you to the end to see through it? Or have you surrounded yourself with people who “just don’t have the time” to worry about you right now, who can’t spare a free moment to get you through your storm because they only have time for themselves? If you called them up and told them your crisis, would they immediately seek God on your behalf? Would they immediately think to ask how they could help you? Would they not even think about hanging up the phone without a moment of prayer?
Are you willing to carry me through the roof?
We all go through various seasons in our lives mái tôn đẹp. Some seasons are worse than others, while some seasons are delightfully peaceful. When you have a friend who is going through a rough season in their life – be it sickness, unemployment, divorce, loss of a loved one, etc. – how much are you willing to do on their behalf to assist them during their trying time?
When a friend losing a loved one, the most you can do is encourage them and pray for them. Although that may not sound like a lot, it is. Are willing to do those things and be dedicated to doing them until you see improvement?. Are you willing to be a part of the circle of people God is using to make them whole again? In other situations of sickness or divorce, you may be able to do things to assist them during their sickness or the separation and pain that divorce brings. Believe God for their hundred percent healing. When people go through tough times, everyone likes to experience being surrounded by people who are willing to stand in the gap for them. Especially those who will not move until they see a change. No, your busy life may not allow you to do it everyday, but perhaps you can make a note on your calendar to call the person weekly and encourage them. Drop a card in the mail and encourage them. Then seek the Lord to see if you are doing all that He would have you do for and in the life of this person.
One day as he was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law, who had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem, were sitting there. And the power of the Lord was present for him to heal the sick. Some men came carrying a paralytic on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus. When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.” Luke 5:17-20 These are the kind of friends that we all should believe God to have.
If you were to write a list of the people you surround yourself with on a regular basis in your relationships – do you see Roof Carriers? Does your list include people whose faith is so strong that God would heal you because of their faith? Or do you see people who would say “I don’t have no time to carry her through the roof. Leave her at the front door maybe somebody will try to get her in later through the roof.” In other words, if it is not convenient for them they are not willing to help you. While going over that list of people you surround yourself with, ask yourself: are you a Roof Carrier? Is there someone who needs your encouragement today? Can someone else be healed off of your faith?
Oftentimes to be a blessing to others it may be a little uncomfortable or inconvenient for us. Know that God is always watching and your rewards will be in Heaven. All may not be Roof Carries, but many are willing to be included in the group to be used to get you to the next level that will eventually lead you to the roof. Even though you may see no roof carriers around, remember that you already have been given the victory through Christ Jesus on Calvary. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. – John 16:33.
